With hospitals a far cry and communication made even worse during floods, the unique initiative of boat clinics is a ray of hope for the most vulnerable communities of Assam living on the 'saporis' or islands of the Brahmaputra.

This film is a part of a series of 8 films produced for The MacArthur Foundation that takes a look at innovations saving the lives of thousands of new mothers and their babies across India. This series profiles grassroots level stories of change and impact that can be scaled and implemented across the country.
