We travel (first virtually) and then in person to festivals. With the protagonist of the film at the glorious IDFA, the film wins the beloved Audience Award and the standing ovations don’t stop.

Writing With Fire becomes the first Indian feature documentary to be nominated for an Academy Award.

Rintu and Sushmit are invited as members to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The film comes to India through the Dharamshala International Film Festival. Our first public screening with a desi audience – tears of joy everywhere and this sets the film on an organic run of screenings all across the country.
