SYNOPSIS :
To counter greenhouse emissions and contribute to sustainable development, the world designed a solution – Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). While this meant large investments in wind, solar and biomass power plants globally, in India it resulted in displacement of local communities and their livelihood opportunities. This advocacy film highlights issues and concerns around CDM in India and was screened at the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP-21) in Paris, France.
